Hedging / short selling

I’m lost at this point I’m not sure of the buy or sell execution when trying to hedge A currency going down. When you enter A trade and the market goes against you , do I place A sell at this point or A buy to hedge it . Need help with this situation

Hedging isn’t of real value or benefit to retail forex traders.

Saying this is easier than to demonstrating it, of course, especially with some people unfortunately believing the opposite.

Hedging refers to the dealing with contracts that has future settlement (delivery) as you try to protect yourself from losses in future. Most used are exchange traded futures and options. Hedging with opposite position (locking or averaging) is useless because you will get more troubles there rather than solutions.
