Hello everybody - how are you . I would like to discuss the perfect trading plan together with you. The goal is to work out a system for custom made trading plans and providing as many trading plan templates as possible. I hope you join this thread and share your knowledge on the perfect trading plan design.

Here is a first list of 10 Questions which belong into a trading plan:
1. Why would you like to be a trader ?
2. Which are your top 10 trading rules ?
3. Which are your trading goals and why ?
4. What kind of trader are you ? (position-, swing-, intraday-trader, etc.)
5. Which currency pairs do you want to trade ?
6. Which timeframes will you use ?
7. How do you prepare before each trading session (pre-session routine) ?
8. How do you finish each trading session (post-session routine)?
9. Which are your risk- and money-management strategies ?
10. Which are your actual trading-strategies: Chart-setups, entries, exits

The book "Come Into My Trading Room" by Dr. Alexander Elder has a good section on trading plans, as do several other books.

I've attached a sample .doc that I obtained (I can't remember where). You can simply modify it to fit yourself.
