Unhappy Frustrating Experience with brokers

Hello everybody,
I am glad that I have found such of nice forum. I am based in Nigeria and I am Nigerian resident now. I decided to open a real account after practicing for awhile with the demos. To my surprise my application for live account was turned down at Interbank, Oando and couple of others because I am Nigerian resident.http://forums.babypips.com/images/icons/icon9.gif Would you please be so helpful and suggest a reputable broker who will not turn me down because I am a Nigerian resident. Thanks in advance.http://forums.babypips.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

You're probably running into this problem because Nigeria is known as one of several countries with a high risk of fraud. Here's a list of those countries "selected by the United Nations, world banks, the Internet retail industry, and OMIT as potential sources of credit card fraud."

OMIT Restricted Countries List

Many companies won't deal with those countries because of the high risk of fraud.

You'll have to look for a broker that is not located in the U.S. Do a search of the forums and you'll find many recommendations.

you know sometimes going to the root of the problem can help, most brokers have a online chat facility, why not take advantage of this?

Simply ask them you never know if they cant deal with you directly they may be able to point you in the right direction.

You should be able to sign up with FXsol (fxsol.com). You just can't fund your account with a credit card.
