Default Is there are bug in the MT4 demo account in trading EUR/USD??

lets make it more simple .. assume 1:1 leverage, a im using a metatrader USD account, if i want to buy 1 lot GBP/USD, I need 160 000USD for the transaction which is valid, and for 1 lot EUR/USD, I suppose need 140 000USD, is that right? But after I execute the order, I found out that I only used 100 000USD instead of 140 000USD and have 40000USD left of free margin, Why??

For another example:
I have 100 000USD

If the price of GBP/EUR is 1.6344 and EUR/USD is 1.4890, in 1:20 margin account, the margin for GBP/USD is 8172USD which is valid but EUR/USD is 5000USD instead of 7445.... THAT is the place where makes me confuse!!!

Can anyone give me an explanation if I am making any wrong mistakes or having a wrong concept? can you try your MT4 demo account see if you have the same problem or I made any mistake in my calculation?

THanks GUYS!

My guess (and this is only a guess) is it's because you only have $100,000 in your demo account. You cannot trade $140,000 on 1:1 leverage if you only have $100,000.
