Default VT Trader Logging Off Constantly

Hey,

I am trying to run an automated strategy in VT Trader, but it seems that every 4 hours or so VT Trader will log itself off of the system, leaving my trades exposed (and without the AI controlling the trading anymore). Has anyone else had this problem with VT Trader being unstable? Any ideas on how to fix this? It is not the internet as well - it stays up the whole time...

Any ideas appreciated.
Thanks

Default vt trader disconnects

paul, my vt trader goes down about 20 times a day. i have contacted tech support repeatedly, but they tell me nothing is wrong with their server and that none of their other customers is having the problem. they recommend i delete the software and reload. hasn't helped. i have two other platforms, ibfx and strategy builder, two accounts on each, that stay up almost all the time. don't know what the problem is, but i am trying to transfer most of my work to the other platforms. fortunately, i am able to keep an eye on the vt and usually know when it kicks off. my provider is comcast and they are pretty reliable in the chicago area. wish i had a good solution, but at least you know someone else is sharing your experience.

When I had a demo account there, I had enough issues with stability. Granted, I can understand that they place emphasis on live servers before they would demo, but it led me to make a decision to go with Oanda over them.

Having reliable demo servers to me shows that a company is willing to let you get a really good feel for what it would be like if you went live.
