If i may suggest, i would focus on the daily and 30 minute charts on the GBP/USD....i dont think the 4 hour holds patterns too well.

good luck trading.

Pppglowacki, thanks you for that info and I will look into the 30m charts. Well looking at the daily I do see a triangle pattern trying to form and so looking for a break.

#9 well I just got home and turned on the charts. Well I said I would focus on the daily/4h. Well I took a long off the 15m chart looking for 20. I liked the fact that the chart seems to have put in a higher low

#10 well I shall try again with a long. I used to 15m chart as trigger and will target the mid-line off the 4h on first 1/2 and then top of range on the second. Should my first tgt get called away I shall move stop to break even.

Well it seems as if the “ping pong” factor has taken hold of the gbp/usd. I think I’ll leave this trading for the professionals. I’m not comfortable trying to play this right here and so I’ve shut it down. I guess I’ll wait for some direction before trying to play it.

Well it has been the sideways action that helped erode my last account. In fact trying my few trades today was not very bright on my part. A sideways trend less market does not bode well with any momentum based strategy. I’ve attached a 21ema as a filter to attempt to stay out of the noise. Not sure how well this will work as I just added it. I see the 1h/4h 21ema are simply flat. This alone flags caution lights as one can easily get whipped in the butt. So we need this guy to make up its mind, thus exercising discipline is wise.

#11 might be a swing trade with open short @ 1.9855 and 1R around 1.9941. First tgt or 1R is 1.9770. We shall she how this works out.
