OK then...Aus dropped 50 pips as anticipated but I never got in....wish I'd pulled thw trigger at 8970 but oh well I was sleeping. Still looks like initial resistance is at .8975 but not sure if I want a standing buy order there after it has hit and stalled at support...three times..a breakout lower from there should open the door for about a 100 pips I'll wait and watch for that breakout and try toplace a short trade on the BO

Not sure if anyone is reading this but....

as always...

10:07 executed short on the oz at .8977 Not a hundred percent sold onthis position as it looks like it's trying to breakout but worth a try. Executed 50% of my original amount and will be looking to add to positions. Haven't put stops in yet...

set stops @9006. Break to 9030 will reload at the fail. Setting stops tight..

will reload again at fail on R2..

Betting against the trend which is one of my cardinal sins but not really if the dollar is trending long...

Default AUS/USD The weak, I mean the week ahead

Well after sitting in a Zen like position for the last several hours contemplating subjects as wide ranging as dark matter and it’s effect on the known Universe as evidenced by data gleaned from the Hubble S.T. To that of chaos theory and it’s relationship as to why I always manage to start with the wrong corner of the fitted sheet and have to start over again when changing the bed linens on wash day….. I have come up with the following probably non-useful information on the above referenced currency pair….

I am looking at the one hr, four hr charts for my data. Then kind of leaning back to come up with rounded highs lows and so on…(this also has to do with the fact that I can’t se the computer very well close up anymore)

Here’s the in-fo-mation in approximation:

........ High... Low ... Sum... Gann Retrace Value

1 Hr 90.75... 89.15... 2.0... Equals 89.95 (close to entry point)

4 Hr 90.75 ... 85.75... 5.0... Equals 88.25

So…the “88.00” level keeps popping up in several of my other calcs.....I’m staying counter trend keeping shorts unless stopped out and looking at trying to add to positions if the R stands firm T.P. around 88.25 And staying far far away if it goes over R1…

After getting stopped out on my last short (after initially having 45 pips in it) only to have it reverse in the middle of the night, I'm re-entering short again counter trend so little risky here...little higher stops this time..will average in up to .9095 with stops at .9108

Initiated at .9015...

So you entered going short at .9015? Not too bad. Thats real close to the 61.8 retracement. We'll see how you do. Best of luck to you jimbo!

Default The not so weak week,.

Well this week has certainly not delivered what I had hoped for. I was looking at the pair to make a steep rise and then a steep fall. WRONG!

My entry into this position at .9015 left me with a feeling of “Mumphf” .
(for those unaccustomed the word “Mumphf” please see definition below)
When I looked at the chart indicators further a feeling of extreme Mumphf ensued, but I decided to stay in the trade and continue with my gut on this. I added again to my position when the price reached .9085 on Friday. I have berated myself a little for looking too much at the fundamentals as I saw them and getting caught in “Trading the News”. When I looked further into the Ozzie employment numbers, the numbers showed that all the “gains” in the index had been through part-time employees . If you take out the part-timers you get an actual decrease in employment of 7,500 according to the news wires anyway….

Now the good news, in looking at the day/week chart we are at critical resistance level of 61.8 fib. A sustained break above this level should take it to the 100% (around .9350) and to me, would look like a true double top and cause a catastrophic failure ( Sorry for the melodrama but so seldom get to use that in a sentence) and what I see as a possible major trend reversal…

Bottom line is that this is going to turn into a position trade as opposed to a swing trade and I’m in it until the end…or a break above .9350

Merriam-Webster Dictionary

Definition- Mumphf

Pronunciation/ Mum-ff/

Function- adverb

To cause nausea or disgust:

1. That feeling you get whilst hugging the porcelain god right before you “heaver” after drinking eight pints and twelve shots at the pub.

2. That feeling you get right after a “heaver” when you notice your actually in the ladies lieu and not the gents.

3. That even worse feeling you get when you’ve realized you never made it off the barstool in the first place.
