Newbie question !!!
Is there a way to set up specific alerts on MT4 ? I’ve found the option to get alerted if a pair hits a certain price but what I am looking for is something that alerts you when a candle closes outside of a bollinger band (and maybe some others in the future), is this even possible ?

This is not a standard alert that MT4 offer. You might be able to find someone selling something similar or you may have to pay a programmer to create an EA for you.

It is out of standard MT4 functionality however this alert is very simple to code, will cost to you about 10-20$ on freelancer. You can also handle it with pending orders I guess.
Yes, that is correct. This needs to be coded and is not a standard feature of MT4.
