Maybe I don’t understand something… but these cent accounts seem to be useless. what’s the point in trading with small amounts? If you win, you’ll win cents and if you lose you’ll lose cents. Why waste time on this?

I use a cent account to live test EAs I make. Its a good low risk way to test with a real price feed.
On that note the new 3 pip spread on EU sucks Its not a very competitive spread anymore and that one pip has got me looking at other brokers again. Right now I only have a cent account with LF so if I move its no great loss to LF. I do think these kind of tiny accounts are a great way for customers to develop trusting relationships with a broker that lead to much larger deposits if the trust is there. A non competitive spread will defiantly reduce the number of new cent accounts and in the long run reduce the number of “serious” traders with the big accounts and in turn revenue for the broker.
Just my thoughts… can you tell I want my pip back, a pip on every trade is worth much more to a trader then any deposit gimmick guys.
