Trailing stop doesn't work

My trailing stop doesn’t work. It doesn’t appear?

It also don’t appear when it moves 20 pips in the good direction? It doesn’t show up but it doesn’t work as well, like it doesn’t stop the trade.

Hi @Jelvooo,

It looks like you’re using MetaTrader 4.

With the MT4 platform, you must remained logged in at all times in order for your trailing stop to work, because the MT4 trailing stop order rests on the terminal side, rather than the server side.

Did you disconnect from MT4, while the trade in your example was open?

Now when I opened the Metatrader after 30 minutes again I see my trailing stop?

ok, so you got it sorted… good

Just a heads up, Automatic Trailing stop… not a good idea.
if you want to use trailing stop… Use Manual Trailing stop

also… YOU DO UNDERSTAND that selecting 20 pips trailing stop actually means 2 pips YOU KNOW THIS …RIGHT ?
if you want 20 pips

select CUSTOM and type in 200

That answers our question. You can’t close MT4, if you want your trailing stop to work.

that’s correct, and another reason why manual trailing is better
