The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) broke through a rock wall, into the abandoned Gold King Mine in Colorado, releasing millions of gallons of toxic waste-water into the Animas River. The EPA initially said ONE million gallons; then they revised their figure to THREE million gallons.
Environmental activist Erin Brockovich claims that the EPA is lying about the volume of the spill (according to a story in the Associated Press).
From the AP story — “A series of congressional hearings investigating the spill will begin Wednesday [today]. Republican committee leaders in the House and Senate say that EPA officials have withheld documents that could explain what went wrong.”

Reportedly, this prototype has been replaced by a newer Northrop Grumman design, designated the B-21.
But, I haven’t seen any pictures of the B-21 that are as cool as the one above.
