[£500 - £1,000,000] 5% Equity | 285pips | Exponential Growth [Screenshots Included]

Welcome to my highly ambitious, almost certainly unrealistic plan of turning £500 into £1million.

Please note I am using the demo account only and I would never take this level of risk with a live account. Nevertheless here is my plan of turning £500 into £1million.

For this goal to work I am using no more than 5% of my equity per trade. So far here is my progress and as you can see, I got off to a shaky start.

Who wants to see how far I can get before I lose it all? xD

They called me grazy in the past when I proposed such plans. But I think it is fun.

Go for it!

UPDATE 25/01/2016

+32 pips with all trades closed.

Demo, seriously? If your not going to risk real money, why even spend the time doing this? Just odd if you ask me.

Start with $100 real and see what happens, with 50/1 leverage.

Because the data is real and the prices are real. The entire point of doing this on a demo account is to test this strategy out. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from this forum it’s don’t use a live account until you have a proven strategy that works.

Using a live account at this point is no different to sticking my money on a roulette table. So no… I don’t think I’ll use a live account but thanks for your input.

UPDATE 26/01/2016

An incredible days trading today. Pulled in 139pips before exiting out of the trades. As I look back I did get out too early but £457 today, I’m not going to complain.

Just £255 until the next milestone!

Can’t believe I’m up 250% since 15th of January

UPDATE 27/01/2016

Nice early start this morning to take advantage of early morning up’s and downs. Going to wait for tonights FOMC announcements before trading again.

Hit my £2000 mark!

Next up - £4000

UPDATE 27/01/2016

A very up and down market with the FOMC causing the markets to bounce around. Was hanging on by a thread but my first day trading where I finished negative pips.

-16pips

Hope the markets settle back down tomorrow. Want to get back to that £2000 mark

Yeah, it wasn really the market you hoped for. You can’t have it all. Keep on going. The main aim is to reach it. It doesn’t matter if it takes a bit more time.

Well 300% return in less than a 3 weeks is pretty good going so far I think. I mean 100% return a week? Most people don’t make that a year. If I keep up the success which is unlikely, but if I can I’ll have a million in about 10 - 12 weeks.

I suspect the growth has only been so rapid because I’ve not had much in the way of losing days. Maybe 3 - 6 months is more realistic.

UPDATE 28/01/16

Absolutely terrible days trading… lost 170pips and back down to £1300. Probably should not have traded upon the release of financial data.

UPDATE 29/01/16

I’m back down to my original £500 lol. I still did better than I thought I would but I seriously underestimated the impact of certain announcements. Thread won’t be updated any longer.

Good to see such honest posting.
What youve experienced isnt that unusual, luckily youre only trading on demo. Many others have a nice little run on demo, think theyve cracked it, go live way too soon, then cant understand why they crash and burn.

Yup. If I cannot consistently make profit on the demo then I’ll never go live. I’ll only ever go live once I’ve been trading for 3 to 6 months and have a system that I feel can genuinely produce a stable profit.
