I’d guess the OP is referring to the divergence or difference in the behaviour of the two crosses on Wednesday past.
If so then he is raising a valid point, there was apparent weakness noticeable on the part of Euro vs GBP, the place to go when witnessing this is Eur/Gbp, clearly showing buying of Gbp.
That analysis usually would influence me when trading either Gbp/Usd or Eur/Usd, I chose the former on Wed because of this buying.
Note also that those two crosses referred to by the OP, the strength remained with GBP on Friday’s selling, Eur/Aud reached Wednesday’s low, Gbp/Aud did not.
