A zygote in the trade

Hi guys!

My name is Emmy, currently a student in med school studying human physiology and i am a super newbie in the trade. From Nigeria, a country in west Africa. :nigeria:

i have no background knowledge in the trade, except for an intro video about Forex i came across last year while browsing med videos. In-fact my interest grew much bigger ever since the need to fund my dreams of studying medicine abroad and to have a consistent source of income no matter how small the profit i got on bad days, plus i want to be a professional trader by occupation.

I happen to have opened a live account with absolutely no knowledge of what i am into, i haven’t even fund the account yet cause i wanted to know the business well enough before risking my capital.

In my hunger to devour knowledge on the trade, i came across the “Forex 101” video on YouTube that directed me here and i hope to get really fed and be better in the trade.

I’m excited to be here!

Oh I’m so sorry! Me and my ethnocentricity! I’m from the USA and I had a friend in High School with the name Emmy, who was a girl. Sorry for the incorrect assumption. Did I mention I’m a zygote here?

Yeah… just saw your intro. Very nice of you with such genuine motives.

Demo account for sure and the education section above. And you’re off!

Seriously, save the hard earned real money for later. Get to trading for at least a couple months. But get that demo account while you read and learn. Makes a big difference rather than waiting until you’re done reading everything.

Thanks a lot for that.

Skip funding your live account for now. Demo trade after finishing the babypips school.

Welcome Emmy! I kinda panicked a bit when I saw that you’ve opened a live account already. But it’s a good thing you haven’t funded it yet! :open_mouth: I think it would be learn the basics from the school first, start demo trading, and gradually try to test out or develop a strategy that works best for you.

Welcome Emmy! Please be careful about being eager to get started. It’s gonna be a long journey ahead. Take your time learning. Good luck!

yeah… definitely!

yeah… a lot i still need to know about getting a strategy of my own
