Any complete newbies like me interested in being accountability partners?
If you can’t be accountable to yourself, you can’t be accountable to others. Everything comes from our within. Be accountable to yourself.
I understand what you’re saying but it helps me to have an accountability partner…thanks for your input but seems kind of negative though…maybe everyone doesn’t learn or think like you…I personally would like someone…obviously not you…
That’s interesting! Haha. I’m not a complete newbie, but maybe I can help you?
Maybe you can create a thread here and I’d always visit your thread to keep you accountable!
How does that sound?
That would be great @ria_rose…thank you so much…ill be in touch…just gotta make a plan…
Its not a bad idea at all. I would also visit the thread now and then
Good luuuuck! And I’ll start keeping you accountable from now on.
Yaay! The more of us here, the more pressured he’ll be. Haha.
So I think that’s gonna help keep him accountable. Thank you for joining.
I like this idea to be honest, its very easy saying you should hold yourself accountable however a partner seems a good initial step on the journey to self accountability.
Where are you on your journey? Personally I’m currently trading a demo account, building an initial investment pot (and deciding how to use this), reading a few books, watching YouTube videos and progressing through the baby pips school of pipsology.
Good luck !
Completely newbie here @NicksFX…im in the second portion of preschool…but looking forward everyday to what I’m learning…
Yeah, he will be much more accountable, otherwise we spank him hahahaha
Trust me, you are going to find your learning journey to be much more fun than you ever thought, especially now that @ria_rose and I will be here to spank you in case you misbehave …Jokes aside, keep that spirit up. You are on the right track.
Not true. It’s human nature to be more accountable and stick to a plan and routine when others are depending on you to do so. Accountability groups are a common way to amplify results and push to new levels.
Keep at the school and apply what you’re learning to a demo account as much as possible
Actually this isn’t a bad idea - I would not have made half the silly trades I have over my trading career if I had to explain myself
Infact all the hedge fund traders have someone who acts in that capacity
The funny part is that you only realize how silly and stupid the trade was, after it bled your account.
Most definitely - you trick yourself into thinking its a good trade when really it’s just revenge trading or greed.
Eventually you are able to separate your feelings of wanting to trade from doing the right thing - which is usually nothing.
But being able to do this takes time - infact the yogis spend years in caves and monasteries trying to get rid of urges and desires
We have to do a similar thing as traders
Newbie here! And i really like your accountability idea, would like the same for myself.
Post some targets/goals for yourself here, then it is in the public eye… Ultimately it is up to you to execute them though!
Hey @NicksFX,
I think we are almost at the same level and if you would be interested, we could scale this journey together. I trade using price action on the lower timeframes (M15, H1, H4) to come through more setups for more practice. If interested we could link and help sharpen each other out.
I’m excited, and if you are too let’s do this. All the best.
