I have not studied global warming, but individuals in America are split on the issue; some believe it is genuine, while others claim it is fabricated. In my experience, where I reside, we have not experienced snow on Thanksgiving or Christmas for more than 15 years, and the temperature on those days went from freezing to between 50 and 65 degrees.

Oh Global Warming is real ok ! - Temperatures will continue to rise until c 2700 - then they will start to fall again. However we shall have 2 more Grand Solar Minima after this one before 2700. Just down to the Sun - nothing to do with Plant Food at all !

Thing is tho’ that temperatures will fall from about now and not start to rise again until 2050 - so there will be meagre harvests if any at all and severe cold in winters - just nicely to coincide with this “Net Zero Stupidity” in Europe and Uk !

You’re very lucky because Pres Trump consulted with real experts last time he was in power and knows the truth ! “Drill baby Drilll”

We get all the joys of snow covered solar panels and windmills and heat pumps which won’t heat because the outside temperature is so low.

Thing is we don’t even have to Guess about this because it starts about NOW - not “in 2100” like the CO2 = global warming numpties forecast !

I may not be a fan of Trump, but I must keep it real; analyzing these executive orders, they aren’t bad, they seem beneficial - at least 95 to 98% of them. I dislike they are attempting to eliminate accountability on many things, paving the way for corrupt behavior, which I see him and Elon Musk moving towards before it’s all finished. Regarding where Trump is directing the economy and Elon misrepresenting DOGE statistics and several other issues outside of these excutive orders that are concerning; those are entirely different subjects.

A running list of Trump’s executive orders

Donald Trump started his second presidential term with a tornado of executive actions that affect everything from the environment to immigration.

Let us note here: An executive order is an official document issued by the U.S. president that shapes the way the federal government operates and sends a message as to the president’s top priorities in office. It is not a piece of legislation and does not require approval from Congress. The only way to overturn an executive order is through another executive order. Within hours of his inauguration on Jan. 20, 2025, Trump revoked dozens of former President Joe Biden’s executive orders. Historically, however, Congress has challenged executive orders and can also delay an order from taking effect, such as by removing funding.

A running list of executive orders that Trump has issued during his second term. We will update it as he signs more.

Why is Trump pushing these tariffs if it’s only making things worse for the markets and businesses?

In the end, it’s the Americans who elected Trump who will end up paying for these tariffs. Higher duties on imports from Canada mean that American businesses and consumers will have to pay more for goods like dairy products and lumber. This could lead to rising prices, slower economic growth, and job losses in industries that rely on Canadian imports. While Trump presents these measures as a way to protect American producers, in reality, they only add financial pressure on businesses and consumers, ultimately undermining confidence in his economic policies.

Now that the MAGA appeasement is over and project 25 agenda is nearly complete, where does Trump go from here? It seems as though Trump and his wealthy friends are determined to make life miserable for the American people.

It can’t begin like this, they are plucking his card one by one.

World leaders is watching and probably saying he’s less intelligent than we assumed. Putin, I was already aware of that. :joy:

Trump’s post on Truth Social asking who allowed Canada to supply the U.S. with electricity - but it turns out he just need to look in the mirror (@realDonaldTrump)

Trump whines about who signed deal to allow Canada to supply energy to the US – it was him

President Donald Trump took to social media to whine about who negotiated a deal allowing Canada to supply energy to the U.S. — but, it turns out, he made the deal.

Amidst the trade tariffs back-and-forth with Canada and Ontario Premier Doug Ford, who suspended the province’s 25 percent electricity surcharge on three U.S. states Tuesday, Trump fumed on Truth Social: “Why would our Country allow another Country to supply us with electricity, even for a small area?”

“Who made these decisions, and why?” the president demanded.

The decision to maintain the free flow of energy across the borders was part of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement and negotiated by Trump in November 2018 during his first term. It was signed into law in January 2020.

The trade deal replaced the North America Free Trade Agreement, which Trump branded a “nightmare” at the time.

“America’s great USMCA Trade Bill is looking good. It will be the best and most important trade deal ever made by the USA,” Trump boasted on Twitter, now X, in December 2019. “Good for everybody - Farmers, Manufacturers, Energy, Unions - tremendous support. Importantly, we will finally end our Country’s worst Trade Deal, NAFTA!”

For more than a century, the U.S. and Canada have traded electricity. The agreement negotiated by Trump’s first administration said it “fully updates, modernizes and rebalances the NAFTA to meet the challenges of the 21st century economy,” a government fact sheet on the deal issued at the time states.

The administration claimed it would allow American workers, farmers, ranchers, businesses and enterprises to “share in the benefits” of the agreement.

A White House press release dated January 29, 2020, lauded the deal as “a historic win for American workers.”

Finally! This is what the American people have been waiting for. Hold them accountable, let’s talk about your actions and what your intentions are, where is Elon Musk.

The citizens of America stand with you, John Larson. Chaos My A$$. This was patriotism.

Chaos erupts during DOGE hearing - LiveNOW from FOX

America is on the verge of becoming quite fascinating.

As John Larson stated, Unless you have a willing party.

The system of checks and balances in the US Constitution is a crucial aspect of ensuring no one branch of government becomes too powerful.

This system divides the government into three branches - the executive, legislative, and judicial - with each having specific powers to oversee the others and prevent any branch from abusing its authority

Balance of Power: This system is designed to maintain a balance of power among the branches, safeguarding democracy.

  1. Definition: Checks and balances is a system that ensures no single branch of government becomes too powerful.

  2. Three Branches: The U.S. government is divided into three branches: Legislative, Executive, and Judicial.

  3. Legislative Branch: Congress (House of Representatives and Senate) makes laws and can override presidential vetoes.

  4. Executive Branch: The President enforces laws, can veto legislation, and appoints federal judges.

  5. Judicial Branch: Courts interpret laws and can declare laws or executive actions unconstitutional.

  6. Mutual Oversight: Each branch has the power to check the others, promoting accountability and preventing abuse of power.

  7. President or federal judges for misconduct.

  8. Treaty Ratification: The Senate must approve treaties negotiated by the President, ensuring legislative oversight.

  9. Judicial Review: Established by Marbury v. Madison, this allows courts to review the constitutionality of legislative and executive actions.

  10. Balance of Power: This system is designed to maintain a balance of power among the branches, safeguarding democracy.

I’m glad there are people in power still standing up to our system of checks and balances and openly calling out the President for pushing past his Constitutional authority.
