Hi All,

First post here, just joined today after browsing for a while. I’m from the UK and totally new to forex trading. All looks very interesting, if not a little overwhelming, but I’m looking forward to learning how everything works. Started going through the School section already, but now that I’ve registered I’ll be spending some serious time on there.

Initially my plan is to learn trading as a “hobby” which hopefully will eventually give me some additional income too

Welcome to Babypips. There are a lot of part-time traders who do it as a hobby or just an additional income stream. All depends on what you want to get out of it. When you’re ready to look at strategies and demo accounts; jump down and check out the Forex Brokers and Free Trading Systems sub-forums. They’ll give you plenty of choices and quality information.
