Any recommendations on how to tweak MACD for better signals?

I’m perhaps going to sound rude or critical (sorry!!) but I think it’s a “bad question”.

It arises from a perspective of indicators giving “trade entry signals”.

A very common perspective, but not one shared by any professional or even long-term successful traders I know (including the ones who use indicators).

Opinions differ. I don't use it, myself (but I used to). My view is that as oscillators based on moving averages go, it's actually one of the rather better, rather more helpful ones, if clearly understood and appropriately used. I don’t use MACD for entries btw, I use it to spot divergences. Thanks for the information, will try out the different settings mentioned.
