I would like to know good and bad experiences of those that are currently trading/ have traded with GFT. I have spoken to their sales staff and reviewed on their website. Their forums aren’t the greatest or at least that I have seen so no way to really ask around their. Basically I just want to know if the process end of everything is as smooth as they say ie: news trading is no higher than 3 pips eur/usd, orders processed quickly, when I send or ask for money that’s handled in a timely manner, Customer support doesn’t give you the run around ect. Any thoughts or opinions would be great. Raven
I trade with GFT thro my introducing broker, Kinetic Securities of Sydney, Australia.
I know a whole string of traders using GFT - just go to my thread!! …

No trader I know with GFT wants to go back to where they were before!
I think that says it all !!
Their charts are the best.
Their service is absolutely excellent.
Their facilities are excellent.
They are a well known broker - not some back-yarder.
They have high integrity.
I have no hesitation in recommending them.
I would personally recommend opening an account with Kinetic Securities (I get nothing for recommending them).
Website…kinetic securities.com.au
because…you get the demo indefinitely whereas with GFT direct you get the demo for only 30 days
and
you still get to put you money in a Morgan Chase bank nearest to you.
Email Jay at Kinetic and tell him Tymen sent you …you will get great service.
Is GFT fixed spread?
My experience with GFT has been positive as well. They work to help you resolve issues and work with you in general.
They are relatively fixed. You never see 0 spread like you do with MBT but it’s usually pretty low. They will say EUR/USD will be “as low as” 2 pips for example, and there is a chart on their website for spreads.

No they vary but by only very small amounts. (a pip here and there)
Just an FYI - they don’t natively support MetaTrader. If you want to use MetaTrader, you have to install Dealbook, then StrategyRunner, and a few other pieces of software, and then hook them all up to work together. It’s a little complex at first, but their support is very good.
Why would you want Metatrader when you have Dealbook???
Dealbook is way better than Metatrader in my opinion. The work spaces you can create are awesome.
It does take a little while to get used to because it’s a bit more advanced than Metatrader, but once ya learn it you will never go back.
Amen to that!
I’m using MetaTrader only because of the EAs I can program. It’s taken me quite some time to get up to speed with MT, so learning a new platform right now isn’t high on my list of priorities.
With that said, does Dealbook have the ability to program automatic trading? If so, then I’d look into it, because I felt GFT was a great brokerage.
