So I was wondering if it’s actually possible to fully automate forex trading using a VPS. I’m not super tech-savvy, so setting up all the software and getting it to work with a broker feels kind of overwhelming.
I came across this understand what a forex vps guide that explains the basics of what a forex VPS is and how it work. Although I found similar guides on this forum that explain other alternatives like swiss ones for more safety.
It lists 3 different brokers that support it, but I’m not sure which one is actually the most reliable for beginners or if the minimum VPS specs listed are enough for stable performance. If anyone here has personal experience with using a VPS for MetaTrader or running EAs, I’d appreciate your input—especially if you’ve tested any of the brokers mentioned.
Yes you can. I have been doing it since 2009. Many my EA has been running for above 10 years.
You need to buy VPS, easiest by using windows. Cheaper by using linux.I run my VPS on LInux. The cheapest is only 5.5 USD … the most expensive one is a dedicated server for 500 USD / month.
You can use VPS provided by broker, but you have to trade minimum volume each month. If you can’t reach the limit, there will be a cost.
Broker selection have to be done by your type of EA. I am using around 15 brokers: ICMarkets, FPMarkets, VTMarkets, Pepperstone, Exness, XM, FXView, Vantage, and many mores. Different brokers, different strategies, different account’s types, combine them together will give you different result.
