It would actually be nice if you significantly changed your tone and dropped the aggressive-sounding “challenges” when you interact with fellow-members of this forum.
They’re increasingly tiresome!
Unlike you, many people are not posting here because they’re looking for customers for a signal-service they’re trying (not very subtly!) to promote here.
Please provide a post or reply of mine where I promoted some signal service.
If you can’t, I expect to an apology. It’s a public forum and there is no tone here. There is nothing wrong in my replies. I only said this would be nice to see someone’s Myfxbook. Interesting why it sounded aggressive to you…
I see that something really pissed you off and made you attack me. I wonder what that is. Looks like frustration. Some links were removed right after I registered to the forum, that’s correct, but I never posted any signals that I provide, never! You must know something I don’t, so maybe you will tell us what signals I was posting. In the meantime, as you see I have contributed a lot of knowledge to this forum. If my goal was to post signals, why would I keep actively participating in this forum after my “signals” were removed? Do you think it’s okay that someone called me a troll in this correspondence? Do I deserve to be called this way, considering my genuine contribution to this forum? What made the user so angry at me? Maybe because I expressed an opinion that differed from his?
ATR is mainly useful for measuring volatility rather than predicting direction. A common way to use it is for setting stops, for example, placing your stop 1.5 or 2 times the ATR away from entry so it adapts to current market conditions. It also helps size positions, since you can reduce lot size when ATR is high to keep risk consistent. Some traders even use ATR-based trailing stops to lock in profit while giving the trade enough room to breathe.
