pls i’ll like to know if there is a way one could install the automatic robot software on my trading platform such that even if metatrader4 is uninstalled from my computer, it will keep trading or functioning? Thanks for your anticipated response

If you have installed your software correctl, then you could not remove the metal4 trader without removing the programme as well.
Well you can still have the Robot on your computer system even when you remove the Metal4 trader from your system.
But then if your case is that you do not know how to download or install the robotic software then be more plain and i may be able to assist.

But i want to know whether the robot software works only because it is intalled on my computer. I’m using a computer in the office, and who knows my installations could be deleted anytime. so i wanted to know if it works in such a way that it could be saved on the server of my broker or MT4, so that even when my installations are deleted, it would continue working. Are my making any sense know?
I assume you’re talking about an EA (Expert Advisor).
EA’s only work on the computer they’re installed on, and only when MT4 is running. It does not run on your broker’s server.
The only way around it is if you pay someone to host your EA for you.

Someone in the forum had just said it right. Now, let me had a little more;
You can save youe software in some IT storage systems like disks, flash, e.t.c.
This enables you to to reuse them anytime you have your own computer system for permanent storage, okay?
Just make sure you do not save in coroupt devices, simple.

Thank you very much. Yes i’m talking about EA. You answered my question. I’ve been wondering why my EA does’nt work whenever i log out from my platform.
Also, pls can EA be made to work also with some particular time frames, like one hour, 30minutes. e.t.c I would’nt also mind if you could recommend people who could possibly be paid to host my EA. Thanks
EA’s generally work on any time frame, but it depends on what the EA is programmed to do.
As for hosting, just do a Google search for “EA hosting” and you should find some.

thanks for all the information. If EA’s work on any time frame and cannot be attached to any timeframe, then i wonder at how some people get good results out of it. I did installed an EA over here and it jumps into the market at any slighest movement. It does’nt follow the trend most of the time. The way it is working is like it’s following the 5 minutes timeframe. If this is how it really works, then i’m wary of it.
You attach an EA to your chart, so whatever time frame your chart is set to, that’s where the EA will work.
You need to realize that there is not one EA, there are thousands of them. What your EA is doing will depend on what it was programmed for.

You should also thoroughly test it on a demo account before using it on your live account to make sure it works properly.
Where did you get the EA?
What is it designed to do?
What strategy is it programmed to execute?
For example, if your EA is programmed to scalp 2-3 pips and you want to trade with a 100 pip TP, then your EA won’t work the way you want it to.
Each EA is for a specific trading strategy and style. You need to make sure that you have the one that works with yours.
