Beginner Account setup

Hello Guys,
I’m new to FX trading and have a little confusion with my account setup.

Account type: Micro
Balance: 100$ USD
Leverage : 1:100:

The above is my account setup. Need suggestion on the account setup. Should I increase my Account balance/ Leverage or the above setup is good to start.

Sheesh if you’re saying that maybe you should trade a demo first before you actually play with your money.

You have a micro account with a $100 dollar which has the purchasing power of $10,000 using your maximum leverage of 100:1. If anything you should decrease your leverage especially if you don’t know what you’re doing. Also put money you’re willing to lose & nothing further (again you should probably stick to demo if you aren’t quite sure what to do yet.)

Yes, same opinion from me; if possible please reduce your trading leverage! Till now it’s high according to your balance (since you are a newbie).

Why reduce leverage? Can’t he just open the correct position sizes with big leverage and less margin?

Yes he could but if he doesn’t understand how leveraging works he’ll end up losing money(which we are trying to prevent).

I’d say risk management is what he should learn - not to avoid leverage. Only my 5 cents though.

I agree what I’m saying is s/he learn it both hand & hand before even considering trading. Cause if s/he doesn’t understand that s/he’ll lose way more money than s/he’ll actually make.

Absolutely!

any leverage ratio is not a big deal if there is good money managing plan.

not agreed , high leverage always contains high risk and it causes a great losses most of the time.

Got your point; of course, it’s possible! During the greedy session, traders are unable to practice over-trading is they are trading with a small leverage! That was my point of view.

Yea I can see the danger.

You tell your opinion but do not reason it. Why is that? I disagree with you. High leverage doesn’t mean you have to up your position size. Bad dicipline and risk management does, however.

Thank you very much, mate! Nice to see your activities here! Have a great week.
