I find New York session is best. Around 1-5pm GMT, just convert it to your time.

Sometime during London open and US open works for many but I know guys that trade Asia session open with much success. So,… it depends!
i think its more appropriate to follow new York session , according to me it can be more better for you
You could take a look at ATR for your time-frame options: these will show major differences and changes in volatility, which might suit a strategy you’re using.
For the classic example see GBP/USD on the 1H or 30m time-frame and see what ATR does at about 7-8am London time
