Trouble is , believe it or not, the newer models and engines are terrible. Loads of trouble with newer ford engine when it was modified to fit. So people tend to hang on to older models until they die.
Production moved to China start of this year and getting parts is a mare.
Iāve went short 1-3520. ( 4 lots ) Was (should have ) going to wait til around 1-3540,( recent swing high area ). Just closed for +11 as I think I will get a better entry to short again
EDIT: However, since price has just dropped to around 1-35, there is of course the possibility that I have just made a backside of things as my original target was 1-3485 :30:
Sounds all too plausible - we run a Land Rover 110 TD5 through winter (well, all year round but pressed into service as the main school run car in the winter); we have a 2003 and have been advised by various people to avoid a post-2007 should we ever replace it for similar reasons.
Is it economic to fix the current wheels? A car can be bought on finance, even a used one, when often an engine cannot? Apologies, you will have done all this to death, just tell me to stop!!
Not a problem, just the same questions the lovely Mrs HoG is asking just now. Well, to tell you the truth, sheās not asking any questions just now, in fact, no conversation whatsoever today. Yāsee, I was the last one up to bed last night, and it would seem the tooth fairy āforgotā to visit the youngest of the HoG family during the night, much to everyoneās disappointment and shame ( by everyoneās you are free to read āmineā)
Anyway, Iām in the doghouse today.
But car hunt goes on, not totally hopeless case but will need the hand of lady luck.
Sounds as though the Fairy might have to write your youngest an explanatory letter, to be left under pillow tonight alongside significant remuneration if the Fairy does not wish to spend a further night domiciled with the dogā¦
Please donāt start talking about cars and engines and all that. If I join this discussion, then there is probably not any more time left for trading, lol.
I have a Jeep. Small 5 liters with 6 chambers. Had a lot of cars in my life already, also a MX 5 / Miata which was my dream car that time. I guess ST knows what a convertible means for driving.
Iād always again buy a Japanese car. No trouble for 15(!) years and I just sold it because of moving overseas.
I know what you mean, I have to keep biting my tongue, remembering that this is a trading site and not a car one. I always seem to have a car in bits somewhere, but mine are a mix of British, German and American, sorry, have never tried Japanese. But youāre probably right - we always have a car giving us trouble!!
Youāre both right, trading site, not cars or mythical money bearing entities site.
So Iāll finish it off by saying it did cross my mind to tell my youngest that due to the present economic climate, the Scottish Representative of the tooth collecting agency was made redundant, and since the English tooth fairy was facing an increased work load, delays in service were inevitable.
However sheās decided to sue the tooth fairy for breech of contract and is looking for reimbursement of the interest on the 2 quid she was expecting as the industry standard fee for a front tooth.
So just got back from the school pick up to find I missed the higher short entry I was looking for. Anything above 1-3530 Iām shorting right now. Difficult to see how price can stay above that level ( maybe 1-3540 ) for any length of time
The Americans joining the party this afternoon has ruined our nice, clean intraday downtrend so I am staying out, itās all gone a little choppy for my tastes this pm! The intraday charts looked lovely this morning, not so much since lunch.
Itās the endless pursuit of precision entry Buckscoder. Once we get the entry to the pip correct, we can then start working on entry to the exact 1/10th of a pip. If we ever work that out, I reckon itās easy street from then on ! LOL :53:
Anyway, left the order there. If it isnāt taken in the next hour Iāll remove it. Big sell off at the end of New York last night makes me think the same thing will happen tonight and I wonāt leave that order overnight. Odds are we will get a pop up at some point, imho. Surely it canāt go south forever
EDIT 2: Just removed order, I reckon the drop to 1-3480 just ruled the order useless
Short off the breakout at 3494. BC āsmall 5 litreāā¦ youāve lived in Eurolandā¦ youād have the tree huggers camping outside your door over here! LOL I have a shogun (Pajero over there) its 3.5 but as I live in the country its not a āChelsea tractorā (high end part of London, where mothers run Tarquin and Porche to private school in a 4X4 and never see a field). Whenever I go into London with the shogun I make sure its covered in mud so as to avoid tree hugger backlash!
After the next hourly candle with a long up wick and high volume, I started to build my short positionā¦ three shorts (0.75%) 1.3516/22/30 ā¦took longer than expected now everything closed at 1.3465
I am done for the day unless something good shows up, I am smelling huge short covering tomorrowā¦
Oh if I am in Euroland again I drive tree hugger style. LOL! Really. I use the ecar here from our family. Thatās because I do just need to drive around in the city. There is not even one liter in the engine, lol, and the energy comes right out of the socket.
However, where I drive with my Jeep, itās a small car. What they drive usually there in my neighborhood is kinda this little truck:
Iāve just noticed your new thread BC, so will confine future comments to there. But did you know that the new Ford GT40 uses the same block as the Ford pick upā¦ go figure? Hardly a Lambo V12 huh! The Yanks are not big on getting 400 bhp out of a 2 litre (Mitshibishi Evo). LOL!!!
I guess there wonāt be many traders who would attend a thread around this, so I let it to that sentence here. And for all car/truck/ā¦ related stuff Iām glad youāll join our little pub down there at the new thread RC.
