Best Ichimoku strategy?

I have been trying with various strategies:

  1. Tenkan-sen/Kijun-sen cross
    If Tenkan-sen and Kijun-sen lines are equal.

  2. Tenkan-sen/Kijun-sen cross
    The Tenkan-sen and Kijun-sen if the Tenkan-sen is above the Kijun-sen.

  3. Simple Cloud Breakout
    The Breakout of the cloud if the price gets above the cloud.

  4. Advanced Cloud Breakout
    If the price breaks through the high of the candle which broke through the cloud.

  5. Tenkan-sen Breakout
    Trades the breakout of the Tenkan-sen line out of the cloud.

  6. Kijun-sen Breakout
    There is a breakout of the Kijun-sen line out of the cloud.

  7. Chikou Span Breakout
    There is a breakout of the Chikou Span line out of the cloud.

  8. All in uptrend/downtrend
    Enter a buy trade if the Tenkan-sen and Kijun-sen are above the cloud, if the Tenkan-sen is above the Kijun-sen, if the ChikouSpan is above the cloud, if the Cloud is in an uptrend and if the current price is above the cloud.

I dont have much experience, so I would be grateful for any pointers as to the best strategy to use?

Ichimoku is very interesting and great strategy. All your options can be applied. But just use them all at first to find the one which will be the best exactly for you! I like 1 and 2 the most.

Have you been profitable using it? Been looking at learning how to use Ichimoku also. :slight_smile:

do you think a more productive approach might be to work out what you want to measure and display, and then decide which indicator(s) will do that job for you, rather than effectively saying “here’s an indicator, or an indicator combination, now, how should i use it”?

If possible then add price action trading with this tool; as I see few traders are getting good result by this combo trading strategy (Ichimoku + Price Action trading).
