"Best Times of Day to Trade Forex"

Hi everyone
i’m beginner in all this Forex thing, i mean once i read a couple books about it
but didn’t really did some think with it,but now i got more free time so i want really get in to it.
Right now trying to study a bit from the school on this site.
i would like to know if you think i should write the "Best Times of Day to Trade Forex"
and all the forex trading sessions to remember them better?

The market is open during all times of the work week and different trading sessions (i.e. the London one, the Tokyo one, etc.) begin and end at different times. There are sessions that are open during the night, regardless where you are. I would recommend figuring out what session is open at what time compared to your location and trading them accordingly.

Thank you for your answer

Yoni, the market is open 24/7 but that doesn’t mean any time is a good time to trade. At 3am for example the spread is much higher. I personally find the most action at 8am GMT - 4pm GMT

Good luck.

Thanks
And it’s because the London’s and New York’s markets are overlapping?
if i got it right from the lesson

They do overlap but not immediately. London is a very very large trade hub so when the London markets open, it can really get things moving.

Here is a website that displays the times. Just select your GMT+/- and you’re good to go

What site?
and thank you for the answer

Lol sorry forgot to link it

Forex Market Hours

Trade the sessions that fit into your daily routine, so if you sleep during the US session, don’t trade that. Also trade pairs that are active during that session. Ask yourself the question: what would be logical for my personality and write that down.

Good luck :23:

London session and US

Hi dutchtrader May i ask you
Which session are you prefer that is good for swing or short period trader and scalp and why?

I really couldn’t agree more. Unless one is a habitual insomniac it’s not a good idea to trade during the night. The mind is just not as sharp as it should be.

I am treat forex as part time jobs o far, and often meet on newyork session market, but often already too late because on london session often occur trend already figure out with clear movement but on newyork session often occur rebound movement.

Hi Hello
What is the best time and days to trade forex other than London…

Frankly, I never got into such things. I never focused on finding the right time to trade because that’s not something that matters because I invest for the long-term. For me, my strategy, the instruments I am investing in, and the markets I am trading in are what matter.

The best time to intra-day trade is 1 hour before and 1 hour after the london fix which is 4pm UTC.

WHY? 5.3 trillion is traded per day, eurusd, usdjpy, gbpusd and audusd represent 50% of that 5.3 trillion and the majority of those trades take place at the london fix. That is where the spread tightens significantly because the liquidity is so immense. Every forex trade I place is placed at this precise moment 4pm UTC.

Google the london fix for a more detailed explanation as to why it is this time.
