Hi Jim, I’ve been reading your rules of engagement" with great interest. Thanks for sharing. I am preparing myself (a complete newbie) to trade bull spreads with Nadex. I haven’t funded my account yet. Have you traded the bull spreads? Do you have any suggestions? I did take advantage of the Nadex demo account, but I can’t win many paper trades. I’ve been practicing the Forex, but am thinking I should change.
Hi Jim, I don’t think I could do a good job of articulating their system. They have demos on their website. I find the bull spread trade appealing because for a low budget, novice trader (me) it’s a system that is affordable. As I mentioned, I haven’t funded my account yet. Trying to build up some confidence by reading and watching webinars. So, please let me know what you think about about bull spreads. Don’t know if I’m allowed to publish links here. It’s just .com.
Regards, John
Hi John,
I went to Nadex site and read their Bull Spreads platform. Very interesting. I think my system might apply but keep in mind that I use it because it is time based. When I enter a option there has to be a min of 12 and a max of 22 min. left on the contract and I only need to be right by one pip.
If you wait for a divergence on the 5 min chart then the system has a win rate of 93 %.
I hope this helps.
Jim
Jim, I think your parameters would work perfectly. The contracts Nadex offers include 1 hour expiry times and I think you can enter a trade any time within the hour. There may be a deadline a few minutes before expiry.
John, This system was set up for Forex. I only trade options dealing with Forex. All I can say is try it on your demo account. Please keep me informed.
Jim
Hi Jim, I’m having trouble finding any charts with RSI rising while prices are in a downtrend, and vice versa. Could you steer me to a chart on the MT4 site that meets your criteria so I can visualize it?
Thanks, John
Just wanted to chime in here…I traded Binaries with Banc de Binary about 6 mo ago. It was ok but the only thing I do not like about Binaries is that to be successful with binaries you really have to be right more than 50% of the time in order to actually make money…If reg forex you can have a strategy that is less than 50% and still come out ahead…
Hi Pipmeister, I am planning on doing bull spreads on Nadex, so I am seeking strategies that could apply. On their demo platform I did so-so, considering I have no experience. They offer 1 hr. contracts that you can enter anytime. There is a deadline to enter, but it is very near expiry. Thanks for your input.
John
There is a strategy that many traders use, instead of placing a option in the market, they wait for someone elses option to wake up before expiry, and scalp the move. Options and barriers (Huge ones) are published by oanda and reuters…Dave jefferson did a thread on the above
I heard most binary options are no good due to the fact that when you ask to withdraw from your account, it’s a hassle and they don’t give you your money. Has this happen to you with “24 Options?”
Sorry, I’m new to BabyPips so I’m soaking up as much knowledge as I can lol! :10:
I haven’t posted on this forum for a while due to me moving away from BO’s because of me failing to make a steady income from it.
Thank you Jim for your detailed information on your stratedgy. I used it yesterdat and got 5/6 ITM, but today is a different day and Im losing ALOT.
When looking for set-ups i look for the following in order (please correct me if I am doing anything wrong):
-actknowledge the trend via the 15min chart
-look on the 5min chart for it to touch RSI 20 on an uptrend or RSI 80 on a downtrend.
-look on the 1min chart for the same (does it matter if the touch is 5 candles after or before? or does it have to touch relatively the same time).
-once all the above is acheived we then wait for MFI on the 1min chart to look asif it is going to rise from the 20 MFI area
-we then place the put/call on the opposite colour candle once the candle has closed
I hope this isnt correct due to me losing many trades from this.
Don’t know if anyone still looks at this thread.I have been using this system for close to 2 weeks and it honestly seems legit for times when the market is liquid. If anyone is still using this,we could compare notes see how we could perfect the probability of this.
hello smneos, i have been following this trend but just cant seat without saying something…let me give you something stupidly simple but mind you never force the market or you will blow out your hard earned mone
SMA: 10, 5
STOCH:14, 3, 3
RSI: 14
wait for the faster sma to cros the slower sma then your stoch and rsi confirming the direction
NEVER TAKE A TRADE MORE THAN 15 MIN…
[I]Good (Technical Analysis) info from Jim. I use much of the above, including John Person’s Pivot Point studies that are on the TOS platform. His PP shows the expected range of the day & gives buy & sell signals with his momentum indicators using pivot point moving averages. A trader who has a good working knowledge of TA can put the odds in his favor with B.O.

In regards to an honest B.O. broker, Nadex (U.S. based regulated exchange) is one of them. I’ve visited their offices here in Chicago. Great outfit. The only downside with Nadex, they don’t offer BO on stocks. With respect to Europe-based brokers, currently I’m happy with GOption. They offer 10% refund on losing trades & they ‘guarantee’ same day withdrawals with no fees. No hassles yet.
