Brand new to Forex

Hi folks,

I am brand new to trading! I always envisioned myself doing something like this but always thought you had to have an abundance of money to trade the stock market, I’d heard of Forex but didn’t realise how big it was.

I’ve had a profession or 2 and have drawn a line under my past mistakes realising that at 36 I have more of my working life still ahead of me rather than behind me. I have also come to realise that I can only work for myself because as an employee I’m somewhat unmanageable. I don’t want to be stuck in the rat race and although I think my children have a better life than I ever had (isn’t that the ultimate goal? It is for me any way!) I really want to give them and my family…more.

So after parting ways with my previous employer I have decided to go full bore in the Schoolcof Pipsology. It’s funny because since I have been learning I have been genuinely addicted. Like I have always got through in life with the minimum effort and I don’t know why but Forex just resonates with me, the info here is really easy to understand and I’m so great full that I happened to stumble upon this valuable resource.

Anyway enough of the life story!

Nice one,

Best of luck mate, not sure if I would give up a full time occupation to trade, if I’m reading your post right, the statistics are really sad when you read them, they say 75% of retail traders fail to make money, probably more like 95%.
It has taken me 10 months to start seeing my efforts pay off.
It’s a great journey but it does have a lot of up and downs.
My one tip, mentally prepare yourself, I now go to bed and sleep at night.

Totally get you about not being a great employee. I am fortunate to have developed a few work from home vocations including trading and took the plunge this week to give up the traditional job but I was matching my old salary so relatively risk free for me but now loads more time to focus on things I enjoy and are important. Best of luck mate

Hi and good luck to ya…
