I placed a buy limit today and it went below it 2 pips but didn’t trigger why is that? Could I have some something wrong?

It might look like price did cross it on the H1 chart but look in the M1 chart, it may not have crossed it.
Moreover, Orders, stop losses and Take profits are only letting your broker become aware that you want an action to be carried out and difference in the requested price may differ as much as -5 to +5 pips.
And your complaint of 2 pips is within that range…
The Bid price may have past it but the Ask price might not have done if the spread was 2.5 pips for example.!!! Did you notice the spread ?

Okay guys thanks think you are correct with the big/ask price how do I correct this for the future?
Unless you know what the spread is going to be when price reaches that point not a lot you can do. Maybe account for spread of 3 pips next time.
If your watching the charts you can show the ask line and visually see the difference between Bid & Ask price, also it tells you the spread in the market watch. You can even get a spread indicator to put on your chart.
You could also get a fixed spread with some brokers…!
Agree with this, I usually take into consideration the targeted spread for the pair in question and round it up.
