just go to the right hand bottom side of the post and you will see three icons: one for the QUOTE another for MULTI-QUOTE THIS MESSAGE and the last one for QUICK REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE. that is the one to click upon to activate the quick reply function…

It has never worked for me either.

Not sure if that is another feature where you need 50+ posts to use.
