Just finished reading a good article by Cathey Lien from FX Daily in Investopedia about carry trades,can newbies go for this sort of trading on a Mini account or Standard…or is it reccommended at all for new guys.

Like everything else you need to understand the mechanics
of this kind of trading,
But for newbs I would say learn to trade long & short,
the normal way if you like, first.
When you have become proficient at that then think about
the carry trade.
