Less said
Easier money management system to use is D Alembert progression…
You start with one lot…if you lose increase it by one , so would be 2,3,4,5
If you won a trade decrease the lot size by one, if you lose increase the lot size by one…
Its easy and would work, I used it with 50/50 chance games.
Anyway it is just an idea, but on the long term you will get equal amount of buy and sell signals, it is the law of big numbers.
Bambura
it wont work
forex is a negative expectancy game (just like roulette)
you cannot use money management or staking plans to profit from negative expectancy
you need an edge
Gee Wizz, I thought this was the fun thread!
I have a half dollar around here somewhere.
We’ll see if it carries any more weight than the other two.
'Twas tails.
Been goin’ down all night… Right until coin flip time:D
The coin gods are screwin’ around with us.
Gonna just leave it open for a tad. Maybe something will come to mind.
Wow. You think you have a new idea! There are successful Expert advisors that do this.
Trading Systems - MQL5 programming forum
You are starting from square 1 and there are people ahead of you by decades on this martingale systems. 50/50 systems means you should triple the lot size every trade. I.e
0.01
0.03
0.09
0.27
0.81
2.43
7.29
So if u failed the 7th time you will get a margin call. There are very good systems that reached 24 times consecutive failures!!
Example:
forexfactory
I respect what you are doing , but don’t start from square 1 or try to invent the wheel. With 50/50 systems you are at a mathematical and statistical disadvantage due to spread. Good luck.
LMAO
Hey, rocket scientist, if you can read this from your confines in idiot land, GO BACK AND READ THE FIRST POST!
It’s a joke, nothing more not a system, not a plan, not ANYTHING new.
Damn…
Okay, been out for a few days, just got my internet back on line, and wound up in a huge mess here. Right after I opened the trade the other night, we started getting a storm.
The winds went up to 70+ mph, and caused all sorts of infrastructure problems. Power outages, cable outages, and the like.
I lost a computer to a power spike, and we lost power altogether, as well as cable for the last day.
I also lost a demo account, and this one is hosed.
We’re way in the hole with that trade.
Think the euro will go down again over the next couple days into next week?
Oh, and if you are wondering, I never open my live account in a storm.
I suggest to anyone else paying attention that they should probably do the same.
Cheers!
I sympathise with your frustrations, some will just never understand the basics of the system
Dunno what is wrong with the MT4pips link. It says the account doesn’t exist anymore.
I didn’t kill it:p
Trade closed out from Thursday night. We’re almost back to break even on the funds. I’ll post up a page with the trade info here later today.
Coin said sell:D
We booked a profit of 16 pips. We’re back to break even overall with the 50k startup intact again.
I had the t/p at yesterday’s low, and it just hit.
I think RR from FF did some sort of coin toss experiment.
Yep, we’ve missed a couple of days, but not by choice.
The computer with the account on it is out of commission temporarily. And it’s got all the info on it to log into mt4, I can’t put the account on my laptop. I should have written it down, pencil and paper seems to be the only failsafe method.
Unless you lose the paper:p
All back together, and ready to go.
I think losing the MT4pips account was due to the same stuff that gave me internet/power trouble over the past few days.
I’ll reset the mt4pips account later today.
Cheers!
Got tails tonight.
You know what that means:D
The theory here is good, looking at closing half that gap left over from the new week’s open. Targeting 1.3537 as the next sticking point.
Stop loss is undecided, I’ll look at it, and put it up in a few here.
K.
Stop loss in at 1.3636.
Yeah I know, r/r ain’t in our favor, but neither is choosing trades by tossing a coin for entry:p
The s/l number leaves us the best chance to roam a bit, it’s just above a good solid s/r line.
I don’t think it will get close to that number, but spikes can snipe you.
We shall see:D let the waiting begin.
Cheers!
Heads tonight. Sorry I haven’t been as little more attentive here.
We got stopped out on the last trade as well. It floated around for a full day. then made one more move up, stopped us out, then drifted a bit before heading straight to the t/p line.
I had a chance to close it out manually at +35 pips. Shoulda done that… Oh well.
Next time.
Break even!!
Looks like a random entry method is doing what was expected so far.
Just goes to show the power of money management and stop loss techniqes.
The actual trading system takes a back seat!!
