Coinexx Deposit question

Hey there,

Just trying to figure out of coinexx will be good to deposit with. They have some schpeel about the ERC-20 network but that network doesn’t exist (it’s a technical standard that mainnet meets and some coins use). And when I talk to their support they just copy paste the same canned answer about some network called the ERC-20 network.

What I want to know from someone using coinexx, is ethereum mainnet good to use for deposits and withdrawals? I have a metamask wallet.

Thanks so much and greatly appreciated,
Andrew

And even those two things somehow still didn’t tell you what you need to know about the broker to decide whether or not to use them?!?! :grimacing: :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

Helloooo! I personally don’t use Coinexx, but you might want to check out these threads. It seems like they’ve updated their platform and services in the past couple of years so I’ll also try to find some more recent threads!

Or you might want to see other options available. So far, I’ve seen pretty mixed reviews on Coinexx.

Sorry (especially if my post above wasn’t clear), but I think that’s absolutely appalling and intolerable. It means they’re not providing support that helps you or answers the question. What’s the use of that?! I can’t imagine using such a broker and wouldn’t even still be considering them at all.

And quite apart from all that, they’re not even regulated!! (Why are we even discussing this?).

Sorry to be a pain, but this is what Copilot has to say about ERC20. I only bring this up because probably less than 5% of the public would have even heard about the ERC20 network and the reason why Ethereum is the second largest market capitalised cryptocurrency.

  1. ERC-20 is a technical standard used on the Ethereum blockchain. Think of it as a set of rules that all digital tokens (like cryptocurrencies) must follow to work properly on Ethereum. Here’s a simple analogy:

Imagine you’re playing a board game with friends. For everyone to enjoy the game, you all need to follow the same rules. ERC-20 is like the rulebook for creating and using tokens on Ethereum. It ensures that all tokens behave in a predictable way, making it easier for developers to create new tokens and for users to interact with them.

Here are a few key points:

In essence, ERC-20 makes it simpler and more efficient to create and manage digital tokens on the Ethereum network.

Does that help clarify things?

Thanks guys, decided not to use them.

Honestly, I don’t quite agree with this discussion. I’ve been with Coinexx for a while, and it’s been great. Withdrawals are always on time, and their support is always available and super helpful.

And as for ERC-20, I think you got a little confused buddy.

ERC-20 is a standard for tokens on the Ethereum blockchain. Any address on the Ethereum mainnet can hold both ETH and ERC-20 tokens.

It’s a super popular network—safe and widely accepted. But all things kept aside, their service is excellent-So, I don’t see any reason to avoid them.
