Combo Strategy

Hello everyone

Im going to be combining Range Bound Picking Tops and Bottoms by Cooldude, and Urban Towers by Urbanforex.

With Cooldude he uses Bollinger Bands only, with Urbanforex he only uses 15min charts with Rainbow MA. (I only use 37EMA and 50EMA)

I will be using the Daily chart with BB, and my 1H and 15min will both have Rainbow MA. One more thing, I also use the 1-2-3 setup If im looking to short urban towers if price crosses above the rainbow.

If you going to follow this thread I recommend you have a look at both strategies in the forum section.

Rules for long:

1: Daily must be above SMA
2: Hourly Rainbow must not have crossed down. Flat is still good!
3: Enter on a reverse bar off the bottom bands on hourly.
4: Enter using urban towers ONLY if the price is above the Rainbow on Hourly.

Rules for short is opposite to long:

I will try my best to post each pair I am about to trade live. I will post something quick and easy as trading the 15min is very fast. I would like people to know before I get in, its easy to posts charts after a setup.

EG: Short EUR/USD using 15min Urban Towers, or Short EUR/USD using hourly bands.

I would if people would show interest.

I’m also interested in the thread as I learned a good bit by looking through Cooldude’s thread – especially the posts by you, Cooldude, and PTB.

I am interested

Hi all

I should start a new thread as this is a new strategy, but this is still a combination of many strategies.

As you see with Cooldude he waits for a buck of trend to find entries, I like that approach, it works well until we get into a range.

As we know, in range bound markets there are opportunities for both directions.

I have 3 time frames, daily, 4hour and 1hour. All time frames has a 200EMA. We look for bucking of the 200EMA on smaller time frames.

I start to look for counter trend trades once we have double bottoms or tops, regardless of what the daily EMA is saying.

Entries are based on candle formation bounce off BB.

Clairedavid, are you doing commercial advertising here?

Please read rules before posting…

Monkeytrader, please go ahead to share your strategy

All of us will benefit from it…

Hi sophieolivia

Here is a trade I took today, as you can see the hourly is trading in a range. There are no clear lower lows or highs.

Once the pair made a triple bottom I noticed an inside bar. I use a variety of formations, but this time I got an inside bar.

Here is another nice example of bucking of trend

Hourly clearly above EMA, yet 15min tested and formed an inside bar.

i think thats a rainbow strategy
