I’m looking to be able to replay what has happend in the real market. For example, rather than demo trading a 1h chart waiting hour for hour for each candle to unfold, I want to be able to have each candle appear click by click. I know that it exists, but I can’t find any free software that does it. The only thing that I can find is ninja trader, and I just don’t get how to use that software and I can’t seem to figure it out. Can anyone help? Even a simple explanation of how it works in ninja trader will help.
I am sure the sofware you desire does exist, but you could also just use the Metatrader 4 backtester in visual mode. You can’t do it click by click but you can set the speed, pause and you can also configure the charts with various indicators while it is running.
The F12 key on metatrader allows you to step through the chart bar by bar, although you dont get to see the bar forming which may or may not be problematic depending on your strategy.
