Do you trade in December or sit on the sideline?

Just curious about what you all do?

It seems like a serious volume drop in EUR./USD. Only reason I can think of is the holidays.

So I am curious do you guys keep trading like nothing happened or sit on the sidelines until xmas is over?

I will add a picture to show the volume drop. Taken from Tradingview.

I trade long-term on the major forex pairs plus indices and the major commodities, so there is no time in the year when I am flat.

Oh cool. Yea I forgot to mention that I was mainly thinking about day trading. But really good to have the long term perspective in the discussion.

Its something that people promoting day-trading forget - there will be hours, days and even weeks when day-traders will be best advised to sit on their hands rather than risk trading - at the daily open, around news events like NFPR’s, interest rate announcements, low volume periods like Christmas and other public holidays, over-night sessions.

With long-term positions, your money’s always working.
