The greenback was uncertain with the euro and pound, trading near overnight numbers. Against the yen, the dollar dropped below the low end of a range that the pair had been in since Wednesday. The morning’s trading took place amid the release of rising import prices in the U.S.

The dollar saw choppy trading against the euro Thursday morning in New York. The greenback continued to hover near a two-year low that it touched against the euro twice within the last week. Trading during Thursday morning took place as the European Central Bank left its interest rates unchanged. Around 9 am Et, the pair had returned near overnight numbers, trading around 1.3453.

The greenback also saw choppy trading against the pound in New York on Thursday. The dollar rose to a daily low of 1.9791 around 3 am ET, and fell to a daily high of 1.9739 about two hours later. As trading entered mid-morning, the pair remained range bound, trading around 1.9764.

The dollar slid in trading with the yen on Thursday morning. The pair settled into the range during Wednesday’s session, after the dollar climbed to its highest level against the yen since late February earlier in the week. Around 9 am ET, the dollar had fallen below the bottom of the range and traded at 119.12 against the yen.
