A great thanks to this forum, glad that I found it. Loads of good stuff for beginner like me. I am new to forex and I have been studying in the babypis school. I am at the stage where I need to open a Demo account to start practicing but I want a recommendation for an easy to understand user interface without getting lost as a newbie. Would be great if you can recommend one having tried it out yourself.

Generally any major broker that offers MT4 will be fine for a demo account. That’s if you wanted MT4 as your platform. If you were after something else then you will have to go yo the broker who offers that software.
Personally I use MT4 (MetaTrader4) and I know a lot of other people do as well. It’s a very simple software to use once you get around the learning curve.

I have just downloaded the Metatrader4, just playing around it. Thanks for the reply.
Some people think that brokers with proprietary trading platforms are better. I have found they all have good and bad features. MT4 is not outstanding as a trading platform, but it has one advantage over everything else. That is you only have to learn it once. This means that while you are experimenting with various brokers’ demos, you don’t have to relearn their interface.
Alot of people seem to use MT4 for their charting needs and end up trading through the brokers standard platform. It is more straight forward and in my experience easier to set things like lot size
