As a newbie you spend a lot time googling " Forex Strategy" a lot of the time they always use a EMA, why do traders use EMA indicator when you have a TEMA indicator which sorts out the issue of lag encountered in trading decisions? am I missing something lol

Why using TEMA when you can use MA_2 or MA_5?
I just googled it, it looks like it signals reversals more often than a normal EMA. But it depends on your trading style. When you are happy with TEMA, go for it. It is just a preference.
It is not that you are missing something. It is just personal preference. However, using only one indicator is not recommended, there should be a combination of at least three.
