OK Emalgo guys told me that they just had problems with the provider and went offline with the demo account for a couple of days.
Now they are online again, showing also the losses.
I am running my Emalgo now on a live account, but use capital i set back to 10, until market gets a bit smoother.
I am still convinced, that Emalgo has go a lot of potential, the only problems are the losses, which are pretty frequently happening. And if Emalgo looses - she’s loosing quiet a big amount each time
Maybe other people would post also their experiences with that EA ?
We have been using this EA for about a month and have seen little better results than JK. We have been using Swiss Army Knife EA (free) to limit the loses of this EA which are BIG when they happen. I don’t think this EA does well with current market conditions … but I do see this as possibly a 10%+/month if worked right …
They told me they have a new version that is going to be released this Sunday … hopefully it will have more options.
I am using this EA now for about 5 weeks, and i agree that if there are losses, they are big each time.
I was looking for something like Swiss army knife all the time, i’ll give it try too - thanks for the hint Mokus!
About the new version: they told me to release a new version on next sunday by beginning of August
After 3 weeks i emailed them again, and they told me again: next weekend.
So now they are telling you too at then next weekend - i think the chance to get the new version on the next weekend are pretty small
honestly this ea is nothing special and it has been a net loser. I haven’t studied its entries to see if they are worth managing (for better exits)
Overall I am unimpressed. Just being honest. I know there are some on these forums that think I only have positive things to say. I don’t want to hurt anyones feelings but this ea just doesn’t make money so its pointless to run on a live account and I want to make sure members reading this know where I stand.
Maybe there could be success by managing exits. I don’t know??? But for me its not worth my efforts.
I do agree with Johnnykanoo, i have tested Emalgo on a live account for several weeks, but i stopped it 10 days ago, as there have been more losses than anything else.
In the beginning, i thought it really could be a good EA, and everything seemed to be ok, but in this month (september) the EA got really shot down.
Just look at their demo-account! That’s enough proof.
Even their show-account got burned…what do we have to expect from such a robot?
Emalgo has for sure more winning trades than loosing ones, but when Emalgo wins the trade it’s maybe a 10 or 20 pips trade; while loosing the trades, they will be closed with an average loss of around 100 pips.
Even trading Emalgo together with the Swiss army indicator, i did not have any positive results.
For everybody who think that this is worth an investment: DO NOT BUY IT!
Yes, this EA is not doing well with this market. I like the technology and we are still using it, but have modified the way it works. Example, the trade today we got 54 pips bc we use a more aggressive TS … ELAMGO’s account only had 9.4 pips.
Please let us know some more details, how far you modifed Emalgo!
I am very sad to have invested the money to buy this EA, and i would really like to know, if there is a chance to make it work for me at least for getting my lost money back…
I hope so. Nothing worse than paying good money and then throwing an ea into the scrap heap
But I also caution you that if your confidence is not strong for this ea than you should definitely limit your risk. I said nothing worse than paying for an ea and than it turns out to be garbage but there is worse. Worse would be hoping this ea would work and instead all it does is lose and damages or even destroys your account.
so be careful and please do keep us updated. I’m still trading this one on demo and currently about 10% down overall
