Equity become lower, even though I won the trade. Are there extra fees?

Hello

So I’m using this one broker which have 0.2 pip spread for EUR/USD pair.
I had a balance of 843.08 USD
I made a LONG trade which started with - 0.02 PIPS and I closed it when trade was 0.00 PIPS
Even though I didn’t lose anything my account balance went from 843.08 to 842.71

Is there extra fees when using leverage? I was using 0.01 LOTS. Are there bigger fees when using bigger leverage?

You didn’t close the trade at the same price you opened the trade at.

Check the figures & you will probably find a 3 or 4 pipette difference to the negative side.

No, there are no fees when it comes to trading with leverage but if you do not close your positions and hold them overnight you will have to pay a swap (or receive a swap depending on the currency pair you trade).

I checked again.
I opened AT 1.35771 and closed AT 1.35771 Checked logs.
Still balance went negative.
I dont understand what is going on. I have done that multiple times and the same thing happens

Ask your broker. Some brokers that offer lower spreads will charge a flat rate per trade. Another possibility is rollover/interest.

commission?

You won’t get 0.2 pips spread on the eurousd without paying commission.

How long did you keep the position open? Maybe you had to pay a swap. Otherwise your broker has charged you a commission (both things have been mentioned already. I doubt your broker has cheated you, but this is another case of a trader rushing to trade without taking the time to fully learn and understand what he is getting into.
