eToro competion?

Back on the eToro thing again, and before any one says anything I’m sorry if I’m keeping on about eToro, just currently obsessed with the whole new thing and visual aids are such a great help to newbies like myself, so please be patient with me.

What I’m on about here is the weekly competition run on the website for eToro. Those who have seen it, What do you think about it? What I mean is, have you seen some of the figures some of those guys shown as the top 10 actually achieve in a week.!! WOW. Now I know and I hear you, it’s only joking money, demo money, I understand that. But the calculation and achievement to get there is based on true fact and activity.

Personally I think it’s a great incentive and a motivator. I may not reach those heights, but still it would be a lovely dream. This week as I write this, the top 10 range is the No 1 spot on over $490,000 to No 10 on over $70,000. Still a few days left for this week so the figures will change.

So How do you think they are getting to those sort of figures? I appreciate practice and reality are two totally different concepts and I’m sure there are plenty around who will cynically dismiss the competition and its figures for whatever reason. But if anyone does have any positive insight into this please do share it.
Good luck everybody,

I saw the Etoro once and honestly found it amazingly fun, though I dont know how professional can a trade be using this platform. Correct me if Im wrong but I think it doesnt have charting options so how is the analysis done?

Well when I used it the only thing I saw was all this funny things that replaced some things on the MT4. I mean the Etoro is a very interesting platform, is very different from the rest and it’s like very interactive. However as you said, due to this, personally, I find it not professional at all. My insight here, take a look by yourself.

As a total noob, I took a look at eToro, and I thought it was setup to be fun and interesting, but then I stopped searching for the ultimate program and buckled down to learn MT4.

For me, that was the beginning of really starting to get my head around Forex.

I think it’s great to try out different platforms, but due to the depth and breadth of EA’s and other things for MT4, it’s one thing that you have to kinda jump on the train with everyone else and get seriously to work.

I found out in just a very short time, that MT4 was all I’ll ever need to make money at this.

Kind Regards, Ken

testing more than one platform is really useful before get in a live account. What is also true is that many tools and stuff make difficult our trades especially when we are completely beginners in this market. Personally, I prefer easy platforms that I can easily understand. As some people say, simple is better, especially in here. Adrian

I think is hilarious! I had so much fun learning with the demo!
But I dont think you can actually trade with it.

what do you mean? Trading on a demo account of course it is possible but it is not real money (fortunately for most of us). After a while, and according to your experience level you may start with a mini account at least, checking out what brokers offer you
