eToro is not an ordinary forex broker. Its investment network. You open an account, copy some social gurus and thats all.
The condition for manual trading are very bad. High spread, for EUR/USD fixed 3 pips. There is MT4 platform only for VIP account.[/QUOTE]
They Dont have MT4 anymore, not even for Big accounts… They Shut That option Down half a year ago…
Most of the “gurus” you can copy is just traders that have just started trading forex, and have been lucky For a week or two, and now thinks they Are forex gods…
So if you Think that you “just need to copy some Gurus” your very wrong… That would be like going to a casino… 99% of The time only The house (etoro) would win
Your are right. eToro don`t have MT4 anymore. Now for a GURUS.
First to be social gurus you have to trade with real account higher then 1000 USD.
Second the most gurus just have luck. Here you are right, again. But there is an advanced filters. You can use then to find proper traders.
And the last one. Most gurus use strategies with high risk and high DD.
So, If you are forex investor and want invest in eToro you have to do deep research and find proper Gurus.
best regards,
Martin

Yes, but 1000$ is not that much, basically anyone that Can affort an iPhone Can be a guru
You a right about the filters though…
I was also just pointing out that it is far from as easy as the etoro promotion videos claim to be successful in earning money On The copy of Gurus…
If you do alot Of Research, and dont get out of sync With the guru it Can inded be a good investment opotunity
i have been trading in etoro for 1.5 years. making good profit with the copy trading system it that . its not bad to ask ur id for verification . i’m so much satisfied with etoro and i recommend it also .

I have also recomended etoro to friends… As Said, as long as you do research, trying out gurus in demo before on Your Real account, and dont copy a guru that use alot of hedging, then Your fine, and Can overcome the flaws in the copy system itself…
Still looking forward to when etoro has solved the issues with the copy system though, as it was in march they promissed to do so
I heard on bloomberg they were discussing about etoro copy trade, or social trading.
The experts touch on dangers of using social trading.
Simply put, if im a famous guy n you copy me, i could open a smaller buy trade in etoro and a bigger sell trade with another broker, causing a significant move in the market because so many people are copying me, including people who copy ppl who copy me. So duplicate trades. Thus i am able to manipulate the market.
And i stil get my $10 per month on each copy trader.
So if you still want to copy trades. Go ahead. For me and my house, no thanks!
Hy there… Just my 2 cents…
I started with Etoro about 4 months ago. At the start i was only copying (A Friend just brought me in, told me which Gurus to copy to make a solid and low-risk profit).
3 Months ago i started to try my own trades and i´m still happy with my setup. I know, the spreads are higher as with other Brokers, but i like the combination of copying a few good Gurus, and do my own trades on Top!
And as others stated before, it is very important to choose your Gurus wisely!!
I made 250% in 4 months and i don´t think about stopping…
You know, good for you.
And you dont have any obligation to share the “gurus” here with us.
BUT if you want to use your experience as proof, you gotta show the pudding.
So either show a screeenshot of how your account performed or show us the traders you are copying.
Or just tell us your nick and we will research on your account and copy you.
Hey who knows, if we copy you its $10 for you per person.
I cant think of a reason why i wouldnt share IF i had success with this.
As i said it is okay to take bonus but if you are just looking for bonuses blindly then its not the way to go.
Its like honey bait.
I can set up a scam brokerage and put out the best bonuses because i am scam thus i am not gonna deliver my bonuses.
Once you deposit i take your money. Get it?
So your approach is wrong.
Dont look at bonuses as the primary factor.
Yes i do.
In my earlier post i have stated. =)
As in testing the social trading.
Not that i use the broker for my normal trades cos its too high spreads.
Why not, i have nothing to hide…
I held some stupid positions for too long in the past but otherwise, i think i made a good job!
My name on Etoro is “Booty1”.
Cause you said Bonus, IF someone wants to copy me, get in Contact with me first so we can get a “Bring Friends Bonus”!
50$ for the new copyer, 100$ for me…
Winwin
I have to admit I’ve started to open my own positions now. I am sitting just below my original balance about (-2.48%). My first set of trades went well, but then crashed after an announcement in USA the other week. For now I still copy other traders, but will perhaps scale this down to a single trader in the coming weeks - subject to the performance of trading manually.
Copy trading is fine, but the person copying has to accept the unexpected and not hurl abuse when a trader trades irresponsibly.
