oh and just a little timbit for ya, my own EA that a few people may trade(but i doubt) has made 20% this week, with no lossing trades abd the downdraw is never higher then 3% EVER. I will go with my system, seeing that it didn’t cost me anything.

IMO It’s always best if you can code your own EA to do just that. I like Expert Advisors a great deal and code my own too, however I don’t think they can come close to ‘replacing’ a human.

EAs just don’t have the basic abilities, unlike us, to keep an eye on the world economy and so on.

EA’s main strength are indicators. That’s how they work. However, the trouble with indicators is they only indicate what HAS happened. EAs can’t predict the future, nor can we; but we, as humans, have far better advantages such as much better logic and judgement, plus the vital thing called common sense.

All in all, my point is this. It’s highly unlikely that you will ever create a EA that will perform as well as a human trader.

We can learn from mistakes and become more experienced as time goes by. EAs can’t. :o

WTF difference does that make if you make back the cost of the EA in your first two trades (which I did). I more than doubled two accounts and it’s now like playing with monopoly money. Had you done the same instead of crying about it all the time you might have done alright yourself.

Out of all the EAs out there, I only like two.
My own and GomegaFX.

FAP Turbo is such pure crap, it really should
be shouted over and over that it is sold to
newbies to rip them off and make them poor.

And if you find yourself defending it, either
you are selling it or you are really really dumb.

TP of 3-12 PIPs on average but a stop loss being
hit can wipe out 165+ PIPs. Please, do the damn
math and see how you could possible succeed.
Note that the 12 PIPs you get is only if you are
brave enough to trade Eur/Gbp. Eur/Chf will only
give you an average of 3-5 PIPs but it also can
wipe you out with 65+ PIPs if stop loss is hit.

And none of these parameters are under the
users’ control. It is all internal and totally out
of your control.

Only failure and account being margin called is all

yes, yes i have, in 3 days i have made 25%, on a backtested and forward tested EA that I wrote. i do not have the drawdowns that faptrubo has and i make alot more pips per trade then them and it only trades once a day while using just 2% margin,

as for you, i don’t believe you plain and simple, i believe you are a pumper for fapturbo.

I cannot comment on the FAP, but I didnt buy that nor would I no matter how compelling their sales efforts are.

Trouble with most who buy it may be ignorance on HOW to actually use an EA.

They are selling an EA I think, not remedial education on how to use an EA.

So if you dont know how to use an EA it is pointless to buy one.

I have been having a similar experience with them. There is no customer service… I guess that makes sense since there is no PRODUCT to service.

I did great… on my demos!

My small real money account-- almost gone. My settings were, as one of their “moderators” recommended, all set to default (except for MM. I was trading small fixed lots). They lie to sell their “product”, pure and simple. “…small fixed internal stop-loss…” WTF…? That’s a quote straight out of their manual. I don’t call 50 to 100 pips small, ESPECIALLY when the targets are only 6 to 10 pips! What kind of edge is that, even IF you are hitting 90% profitable? And what kind of Mickey Mouse operation doesn’t return phone calls or emails after more than 1 MONTH? The numbers they give take you to some random telemarket’s desk and the company name is NEVER even mentioned. ??? I decided to check out their supposed address and phone number… THE ADDRESS DOES NOT EXIST. THE PHONE NUMBER IS IN ANOTHER CITY/COUNTY!

I am about to go to clickbank to get my dough back (hope there won’t be any problems).

And buttmunch, I didn’t realize that this EA was something they had actually not really put in the work to create themselves. I’ll look into that further too. But now, not too much would shock me about these Russian thieves (I taught English to Russian students for several years and their grammar mistakes tell alot).

Two final things…

First, why do they feel the need to start off the marketing schpeel on their website by justifying the legality of this EA? Hmmmm… AND just as an anecdote, I had a dream the night that I first went live with real money. I dreamt my account got wiped out and that the program contained bugs that were sending my info back to the programmers so they could influence the EA and profit from it at my expense.

Second, I have a dynamite system of my own that I trade. I get similar results to what you mentioned in another post, but it is time consuming to set up even on one pair. I would love to automate it (and this was the whole reason I looked at this robot in the first place) on metatrader. I’m a complete neophyte where programming is concerned. The English-with-Russian-grammar-super-imposed MQL4 manuals are only mildly helpful. If you have a chance, could you contact me to help with some of the basic terms and internal variables, etc? I’d be most appreciative.

Personally, I think a robot could be coded to trade better than a person, but you are talking about a MASSIVE amount of code with tons of conditions that would have to be evaluated. On a “govt special” computer it would probably run and make a killing where as on one of the standard systems retailed today you’d do nothing but crash.

And as far as an EA not being able to predict… bologna! That is the ONLY way to trade! The prediction, of course, will not always be right but everyone knows that. The set-ups I look for do actually hover right around 90%. My profit to risk ratio is acceptable at as low as 1.75 but is typically at 2.0 or above. On a good day I can take more than 4 trades per pair. I like being in then out again fast because it allows me to compound my recent profits to the principle and up my “lotage”.

My system probably isn’t the greatest but the risk per trade is very low and the profits are decent and regular and the compounding factor is high (and THAT is important) I don’t mind revealing the whole nine yards to someone (who is HONEST) who can help me code it and won’t try to do what the FAPTurbo geeks did.
