If I decided to stick with MB Trading at a leverage of 1:50 what would be the maximum risk I could trade with aggressive ON and recovery mode OFF and not hit a margin call?
Ask MB Trading.
bravehoststamp, you would go with FXCBS if you were a US resident?
Yes. Actually, I used to have a live account with them a while back and was very satisfied with their services. Then switched to FXPro which is somewhat better in my opinion, but FXPro does not accept US customers.
Thanks for the advice!
Have to go back to an earlier question you didnât answer⌠Have you tested other settings with success?.. since youâve tested various brokers, has it always been: Risk=.3, Aggressive=False, Recovery=True.? or have you varied it?
With the results youâre posting with FXPro, I canât see you netting those gains with anything less than a .30 risk setting. Within a year; posting those results itâs clearly a substantial âriskâ setting to more than triple the initial deposit?
The only thing thatâs been varying in my settings is the risk level. I had it ranging from 0.1 at the beginning to the current 0.3 which means that only 30% of my account balance is put at risk. I do not view this risk as substantial.
Had a great laugh about this statement!
1.This smarty risks âonly 30%â of his account per trade
2.He does not view a 30% account loss as substantial
Wish you all luck on earth with your money management.
Past results are never an indication of future results. Having insane risks like 30% can eat all your gains in just 3 trades, which go wrong.
As the americans say: âLet it fly, babbaâ
PT
Note:
And please do not take your past performance as justification of this risk level
Did I ever also mention I was trading with Forex Megadroid? Thatâs the very reason for which I do not view the 0.3 risk level as substantial. If you donât like it, why donât you just quietly take it behind the cheek as usual?
On the east coast of the US here. Will MD recognize the daylight savings time change? I figure it would being on auto?
After the DST becomes effective, restart MD on your platform with the auto GMT offset turned on. Whether your broker changed their time or not, MD will detect it and set the GMT offset properly.
Because people like you drag novice traders into account risks, which are inacceptable in all seriousness.
This is a free forum and anybody can post opinions and anybody can comment.
My comment stands:
30% risk of the account in one single trade is an insane risk, no matter how good or successful the strategy.
Traders using such risk levels disqualify themselves by just using these levels and have to be considered âgamblersâ.
I do understand, that somebody using a 100$ account can do this, but as a general money management rule it is insane.
I would now like to make something very clear to you: I do not drag you or anyone else anywhere. If one feels being dragged somewhere by my posts, they should and deserve by all means to stay with what they have.
The risk setting in order to make this robot profitable is rather scary. Setting it to .05 would result in a big waste of time. I, for one, do understand risk management and have been dabbling with forex for nearly 2 years but also understand that Megadroid seems to actually work for people (after MUCH research). Granted two or three trades hitting a stop loss would be devastating but for a scalping EA⌠if youâre willing to go for it⌠the lot size has to be bigger and thatâs just how it is. I would rather be a successful manual trader where everything is in my control but so far, that has escaped me.
Everyone has their own risk appetites and is free to choose the risk level which best suits them. Do you feel somehow prevented from lowering your risk to a level you deem acceptable?
Certainly not by you. I would obviously like to risk 3% per trade but thatâs not possible with megadroid⌠and this EA seems to be the only one Iâve found that actually works for people so what do I choose?: Not trading at all because the risk level is too high OR Give it a go because you believe the system can actually work?
I think Iâd rather give it a go. Maybe start with .1 or .2 risk when I go live.
Hi bravehoststamps,
I have read here that you use FXPRO as your broker and your settings
are Agressive - False, Risk -.3 and Recovery - True.
But what about VPS, are you using one, If Yes , which one.
Regards
People, have you ever googled âbravehoststampsâ? This guy posts the same MegaDroid spam on dozens of sites, posting the same thing over and over again. This would be a full time job, as a professional spammer, that is.
bravehoststamps, would you kindly state your employerâs company name? If youâre self-employed, would you state who has sub-contracted you for your MegaDroid spamming services?
To prevent negative posts about MegaDroid from being read, bravehoststamps and his friends or alter egos will post daily âwinâ reports. Apparently, every time he farts, MegaDroid makes a profitable trade, and he reports it here and all over the internet. So this makes these threads HUNDREDS of pages, so he drowns out REAL PEOPLEâs $$$$ losses.
If you actually search for MegaDroidâs performance on VERIFIED accounts, youâll find that many are negative equity.
Please beware that companies will use services to subcontract spammers who will then post on internet forums and market their products. I suspect that most idâs that spend all their waking life posting every day how their MegaDroid and other robots have made them billionaires by now are professional spammers who make pennies per each posting.
I am using Forex Hoster as my VPS.
