I think it means it needs “optimizing”
Yeah, I think your right Marcus, unfortunately the link was removed by the mods, but it is an interesting report. I have emailed the author with regards to exactly how “hands off” the Fusion is because in the report he also talks about a knowledge of boll bands, MACD and other indicators as being beneficial. Below is the email I sent him.
Hi Mike,
Thanks for your report.
Having read the marketing literature regarding the Fusion EA, FRWC imply that his is a plug and play, “hands free” EA. Can you confirm whether this is a trading system using indicators to set trades manually or do you have the indicators on the chart, the bot then feeds off the indicators and makes the trades by itself.
I am not worried about configuring the bot to trade efficiently but I am worried about spending $1000 on a bot that I have to watch as this rather defeats the objective of freeing up my time.
Kind Regards
With only 19 days of real account trading I would have to wonder how suitable the settings are. The Jan period had most currencies in a strong trend, especially the Euro which was in freefall. Nearly half the trades and a third of the gains were in the Euro. And for anybody who thinks a little tinkering might be easy, I am including the parameter list at the end of my posting.
The backtesting looks impressive except for one thing - the drawdown was >50% at one time. I wonder how many of us could withstand a 50% drawdown? I think I need to get those trades into a spreadsheet and see what else I can figure out.
I can’t help thinking of sports analogy. In every sport you have a record set by some relative unknown such most consecutive games scoring a goal or hitting a homer. I am sure that his agent will be pushing that stat as some indication of the future worth of the player. Smart GMs know that statistical anamolies happen all the time and the true worth is those players who produce consistly over a period of time, not the flashy attention grabbing players.
I’m not suggesting that Fusion is a scam in any way but that the marketers are taking advantage of a fortunate situation for them and exploiting it for all its worth. I am sure that the “small print” will disavow every thing the marketer says and when somebody blows up their account, FRWC will be covered.

Link to a live demo account showing forward testing.
Just watch, then decide.
Great work KKeagan in tracking down that link, I will be following it closely.
I took a closer look at the backtesting results and it reveals a much less rosy picture than the marketers are protraying. I focused mainly on the heavy drawdowns and they are signifigant. For instance the account went from $6900 to $5400 on Feb 28 2008, then from $8800 to $6700 on Apr 16 2008, then from $7000 to $4900 on Apr 24 and from $6900 to $4800 on June 13 2008. On the big loss days there 10 trades that lost $210 each.
In the year and a half since June 2008 the account made steady gains. However it had another $1470 hit on Apr 11 2009. I think it because the winners are so small compared to the losers that causes this to happen.
So in summary, the first 6 months were break even and the robot made all its money since then. Which of course raises the question - is the future going to look more like the last year or so or more like the first 6 months of 2008?
I wont post any links this time to avoid the violations, just to mention that fpa is testing the fusion bot in the experts lab too. so far around 50% profit.
LMFAO!!!
This has to be the funniest post of the year so far!
Looook can’t you see these EAS, and ESPECIALLY the “fusion” robot are terrible terrible martingale EAS. This means it will double the lots each time it loses a trade. They will not last for more than a few weeks (if that) before busting your account!
My advice is that anyone who bought this junk get a refund IMMEDIATELY!
Trust me, this whole FRWC is nothing but a sham. Their best EA is a martingale, for God’s sake is this how you think you are supposed to trade and make a living?
I wasn’t referring to forex alone mate ;). I’ve been involved in various stuff before I started learning forex, including Internet Marketing and believe me a 300% ROI in 5 months is nothing in that world.
Best Regards,
Matt Jones .
I completely agree that Martingale is a loser in the long run and I have never traded one. I thought I knew enough to be able to identify one and avoid it, so I don’t understand what evidence you are basing your statement upon.
The LMD strategy takes several positions at 0:00 and closes them at SL and TP or at 23:59. It does a little bit of adjusting the position size, but I think that is related to the account profits. That can’t be Martingale.
HiRider takes up to 10 positions at market within a few minutes (same position size) of each other and closes them at SL and TP. I don’t know how it sizes positions after losing as it has a 98% win rate. There does seem to be an adjustment made but I think its related to account profits. It has a curious way of trading but that can’t be Martingale.
Volcano take the same position size for every trade. That can’t be Martingale.
Nutcracker and VREM2 don’t trade very often so I don’t know what they’re doing but I doubt if they affect the Fusion results.
Please tell me and everyone else what I am missing.
Well, overall I reckon this FRWC is a waste of time.
Internet Marketing? Isn’t that stuff like selling an ebook that tells you how to ummmm… sell an ebook?
So funny people fall for that crap.
Fusion Bot Expert Advisor Demo Test by ForexPeaceArmy.com
This is another demo account that has been running for 2 weeks now with pretty impressive results.
Hmmm… Seems to be ticking along nicely (excuse the pun). I think if this was my own live account, I would be damn close to pulling the plug on the bot after the shaky 3rd, 4th and 5th trades.
Imagine the excitement of firing it up and then the horror of seeing those 3 trades within a couple of hours of leaving the launch pad. Stomach churning stuff.
But you have to keep that in perspective. It is trading a $10,000 account and those trades were less than 3% of the account. Overall the drawdown has only been 5%. I wouldn’t get nervous until 25%, but we are all different.
I’ve just checked back to see how the Fusion test is going over at FPA. I’ve got to admit it’s really starting to smoke now.
The last few lot sizes nearly made me choke on my coffee…
Wih regards to my previous post, it’s not really the drawdown that would worry me. It’s more the psychological impact of seeing my new expensive bot making losing trades.
Looks like it’s all coming good now though.
Fusion V Robot System | Myfxbook
This one is similar to the FPA one, has been doing demo since Feb 4.
Good find CM, have just noticed that both bots on these demos placed the exact same trades on 19th as follows;
Sell eurgbp @ lot sizes; 1.5, 3.9, 7.5, 8.7, 9.9, 11.10 and a failed sell limit lot size 12.30. Nice to see the bots are trading consistantly. $517.65 is also the worst trade on both demos. I wonder if these are both trading “out of the box” or whether they are both optimized to the same parameters.
Are you tempted to buy these bots anyone?
Several guys on FF have bought Fusion and are up and running this week. One guy reported a gain of $22 on a 5K demo with IamFX. Steve on Fxbook has less than 2% gain this week with Alpari.
The beta testers made most of their money this week. I am thinking that they are using a different configuration than the others. I don’t think its leverage as everybody is trading 100:1 as far as I know. Now I having second thoughts.
