I am a beginner can anyone walk me through where to start? I am currently a nursing student looking for a financial freedom.
Welcome to babypips
You can start with the school of pipsology on this website under the tab education. It gives you a good overview over the world of trading. After you have finished the school you are still pretty much a beginner. Then it’s up to you to decide, what you want to learn about in more depth, maybe creating your own trrading system and starting demo trading.
I wish you the best of luck, but remember that trading isn’t an easy skill to learn and takes a lot of time, effort and practice.
Perfect answer i was going to say the same thing
To start is focusing on your nursing studies to graduation. Forget about FX trading, it’s social media hype at its worst. Fantasy land.
You WILL lose money if you trade FX, as does every trader on the planet. It’s part of the learning experience that could take years of hard work to succeed. That is the reality. There is no short cut.
However, enjoy yourself while you practise on a demo account. Trading is fun providing your goal is not financial freedom.
For many folks, I think this is ultimately their goal. I know I certainly want more money.
But if you’re desperate, you will take trades you shouldn’t. Desperation will win over patience every time, unfortunately.
It’s still something I struggle with. You have to focus on the trade, not the money. Focusing on the trade will take care of the money.
Focusing on the money will ruin your account.
Perfectly said.
One can start learning more on Babypips School of Pipsology.
Agreed. Can’t go wrong. Excellent free course
Start with the education section here on Babypips. That said, if you’re a total newbie don’t harbour any illusions that trading will provide you with a financial freedom anytime soon - it takes years to learn. I recommend considering seriously whether a nursing degree and what is, essentially, another degree at the same time are something that you’re up to. If yes, then great! If not, focus on something that will provide you with more immediate results.
Hi! This site is really good for beginners as some have mentioned. YouTube and Investopedia are helpful as well and you could open a demo account later down the road.
There’s an introductions post here detailing the exact way to learn from the Babypips school .
Il see if I can get it and post it here for you
its a very nice post with some fine lines , thanks for your nice post.
to become financially freedom is not a minor deal , need a long time experience with so many patience. so first of all have to grow rich mentality.
Hello @tamo1997. Welcome to the babypips forum. This is a place where you can ask anything about Forex trading, share tips and techniques, discuss experiences with other traders, or even suggest new features for this community.
generally beginners level for all time ignore the demo account for practice , its a major mistake for any new Fx traders , only bookish or reading knowledgeable is not enough to survive on there with successfully. we need to trading practically .
agree, demo is pretty good for practice while learning to apply all of that knowledge. However, i would suggest moving to a real trading account with a small fund like $100 - $200 if you feel confident enough and got your basics down cause real trading will teach you proper money management and control your emotions (which is not really applicable with demo cause you aren’t losing any real money).
you said good , but the main problem is the result we find in demo account , this experience not works in a real account , for that reason we the traders dont believe the importance of this trading place at all.
the practical fact is there is no real money on demo trading so when we trade in there no seriousness works actually , thats why we always ignore this valuable trading place.
I think that demo trading helps newbies a lot in learning. We could use different strategies and examine the results and become efficient in using any specific strategy. I agree that emotions are not much involved in demo trading but we need to understand that emotions can be controlled by practice and discipline only.
That’s right that demo trading doesn’t make you a complete trader and how can it if you aren’t trading with your hard earned money. Demo trading is there to help you get some trading skills. Once you have accomplished that, you need to trade live, which you can begin by a micro account. In all this process, remember to backtest your strategies (in demo) and plan for future trades.
