Hi folks,

I have created and tested a new EA which I named as “Forex Trend Catcher EA”. This EA catches a developing trend and follow it through on the 1 hr time frame. Just my contribution to the forex fraternity.

A few things about this EA.

  1. It is designed for trading on the 1hr time frame and higher.

  2. It will stop initiating new trades at each end of the week, Friday 15:00 GMT.

  3. There is an option to auto close all open trades at end of each trading week, Friday 20:00 GMT before the forex market closes for the week. Otherwise, all existing open trades get carried over to the next trading week.

  4. There is an option to trail profits made.

Can you post the code (.mq4) so we can see how it works?

Hi bkr1969,

I have spent hours programming and testing this EA. To be fair to myself for the time I put in, I won’t be releasing the source code. It will just get copied and released under an new name.

If you have any questions regarding its usage, please let me know.

What dictates entry and exits?

Entry is ADX signaled and the EA trails profits made until trend is exhausted or a set level is reached.

Hi,

I don’t know whether anyone tried the EA yet. Very few people are posting here, it’s so quiet.

However, you can ask at forexfactory. Some have already downloaded and tested it.

You can download it on the other forex forum at forexfactory.

Once there, select Forums > Trading Systems > Forex Trend Catcher EA . It is on post #1.

Most users are discussing the EA over there.
