Friendly platform

I am a newbie.

can someone please suggest a platform that does not freeze frequently, is fast for scalping. I have so far used GFT deal 360, which freezes 90%, forexwebtrader, though good, not good for scalping as it takes like 3 minutes to execute a trade and does not have the WYCIWYG option.

hmm, what do we have here…“a platform that does not freeze” hmm…
ok, here we go.
i think freezing is a function of the broker, most brokers don’t like scalping so they manipulate their platform to freeze during major announcements.
i hear tht currenex does not mind scalping, maybe u should try 'em out, if ur wallet can carry it, i don’t use them myself…and i don’t scalp iether.

hope that helps
tell me about forexwebtrader, am intrested, they don’t have a free demo, right?

as far as i know all platforms freeze during the biggest news annopuncements.
Almost all brokers HATE scalpers so they delay their entries/exits.
And if you are into forex for good not just to get rich in 10 mins…don’t even go into scalping.

I think some corrections are needed here.

Everyone who knows me on this forum knows that I am a candlestick scalper.

I work with the GFT program and, frankly, I would use nothing else since it has so many time frames allowing me to detect more candlestick patterns.

GFT, like most brokers, have no problem with scalping. The “brokers hate scalpers” is a myth.

Yes, brokers can freeze trading during news events. But what is anyone doing trading the news anyway?

Unless you are a news trading specialist - and then you will be an expert on slippage

Be careful not to be a bad trader who blames his broker.

Good advice as always Tymen. I think knowing your broker and the technological limitations of their platform are part of the essential knowlege base in this business. Clearly ECN platforms have no concern whether you are in a trade 5 months or 5secs as all they are doing is acting as a conduit into the real market. Bucket shops on the other hand are a different animal especially if you are trying to steal from them by exploiting weaknesses in their technological interface with the real market. Frankly it is not at all surprising they have introduced various ways of regulating this, requotes, freezing, widened spreads and the like
